Once again, GSS were the preferred contractor to carry out the next kitchen floor refurbishment for the famous Mexican street food chain, Wahaca.

This restaurant in the Westfield Shopping Centre, Stratford London, closed for one week whilst extensive work was carried out in the back of house, as well as the front seating area.

The tiled substrate was mechanically prepared prior to the application of a low viscosity resin primer, used to strengthen the surface and the bond of the tiles. Substrate repairs were carried out where old kitchen was removed and replaced and a 100mm high, radial resin cove was installed.

Finally, a 9mm polyurethane resin screed was laid throughout the area and sealed with a clear resin coating to greatly aid cleaning and improve slip, and abrasion resistance.
