GSS were contacted by ex Formula 1 Racing Drive, Jonathan Palmer, to propose a resin floor specification for his new garages and museum in his beautiful home.

The 300m2 area needed to be durable, decorative, both slip, and chemical resistant to cope with the potential leaks from some of the classic cars to be stored and on show here.

The substrate mechanically prepared and primed with two applications of an epoxy DPM primer. A 2mm self-smoothing epoxy resin was then applied throughout and covered with the chosen decorative PVA flake finish. five separate colours were chosen to make up the required design.

Two further applications of a clear, UV stable, slip and chemical resistant epoxy resin were then applied over the flake finish to seal the system and achieve a very durable and decorative finish.
