Leicestershire based Urgo Medical needed to replace their entrance lobby, reception, stair well flooring.
GSS were asked to supply and install a decorative resin alternative to the failing vinyl floor finish currently in place.
The vinyl flooring was removed and the substrate prepared to remove the remaining adhesive and latex.
Stair treads and rises need to be rendered with an epoxy screed prior to the total area receiving an epoxy primer.
A 3mm, self-smoothing epoxy resin was applied by trowel to all areas. Whilst the resin was wet, a four-colour, decorative PVA flake was scattered onto the resin. Once the resin had cured, two applications of a very durable, polyurethane seal coat were applied to chive a matt, slip-resistant finish.
New Gradus stair nosings were applied and expansion joints cut back through and filled with a flexible joint compound.
