New heavy-duty, anti-slip resin system installed for Oxfordshire farms newest cattle facility.

This new cattle facility on a Oxfordshire farm required a very heavy duty and anti-slip resin screed.

The substrate was prepared using remote control diamond bladed floor grinders, prior to a moisture tolerant, DPM epoxy primer application.

A flexible, 3mm polyurethane resin was then applied by pin rake and trowel. Whilst the resin still wet, a 1-2mm quartz aggregate was broadcast onto the resin to achieve the anti-slip requirement. Two applications of a coloured, two-part, epoxy coating was then applied to seal the aggregates.

The many expansion joints within the substrate where then cut back through the cured resins and aggregates and filled with a flexible polysulphide joint filler to reduce the risk of future carking.
